Dealing with family law matters can be filled with emotion and incredibly stressful. Colleen L. Kinerk appreciates the honor and responsibility of helping her clients navigate through some of the most difficult times of their lives. Colleen is a divorced mother of three who has personally experienced many of the challenges presented by the various trials and tribulations of family law cases. She understands the ups and downs and knows how to get to the other side of the conflict.
Born in Tucson, Colleen is a graduate of Salpointe Catholic High School and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 1986, after which she worked in the United States Senate in Washington D.C. After leaving Capitol Hill, Colleen returned to Tucson to attend and graduate from University of Arizona College of Law in 1991.
As a new lawyer, Colleen practiced in San Francisco, California, honing her litigation skills at McGlynn, McLong & McDowell, a well-respected insurance defense firm. After practicing in California, Colleen returned to Tucson to join her father's practice, exclusively representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice, wrongful death and serious injury cases. In light of the challenges she faced in her own divorce case, Colleen felt the call to practice family law, bringing years of litigation experience, strong advocacy skills and the heart of one who has been on the journey. Her practice handles a wide range of legal issues along the familial chronology, from premarital arrangements to divorce and legal separation, from paternity to child and spousal support, and from parenting to legal decision making and custodial arrangements. Colleen's efforts in this phase of her career have earned a Distinguished® Peer Review Rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
Colleen is exceedingly proud of her three children, daughters Aidan and Cameron, and son Daniel, and being able to provide them with the tools to thrive.
